Model Diet of Atherosclerosis in Chickens

在1942年已经报道模型饲料诱导鸡动脉粥样硬化。事实上,鸡可以自发地发生动脉粥样硬化。当给予动脉粥样硬化模型饲料后,发生更明显、更快,因此,鸡被广泛地用于研究动脉粥样硬化的模型以及作为药物干预性研究。

一、鸡动脉粥样硬化模型造模的特点


鸡用作人类动脉粥样硬化模型动物,具有以下方面的表现:

(1)高胆固醇饲料喂鸡可快速发生(2周左右开始)动脉粥样硬化。

(2)鸡模型饲料诱导的动脉粥样硬化部位包括腹主动脉、冠状动脉。

(3)模型饲料诱导的动脉粥样硬化属于早期表现,虽然难以到达高级阶段,但动脉粥样硬化的表现类似于人类。

二、鸡动脉粥样硬化模型饲料


鸡动脉粥样硬化模型饲料包括高胆固醇模型饲料和高脂高胆固醇模型饲料。

可以采用高胆固醇模型饲料喂养。
